American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR & AED

Tufts EMS offers lifesaving American Heart Association certified CPR classes to the entire Tufts community. Learn the lifesaving skills necessary to help a friend, neighbor, or family member in need. For fall 2023, the university has hired an outside contractor to hold CPR classes for the Tufts community. Please contact Public Safety for more information.

Length: Approximately 3 hours long

Description: Heartsaver®  CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult.  This course teaches skills with AHA’sresearch-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills. Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.
