With October right around the corner, the Department of Public Safety will be participating in the Pink Patch Project again this year.

As an integral part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pink Patch Project was created by individual first responder agencies by wearing pink patches to bring awareness and support to breast cancer and cancer research. For more information about the Pink Patch Project and participating agencies please use the following link: https://www.cityofhope.org/pink-patch-project.

DPS is partnering with the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, which works to provide financial support to cancer patients and their families across New England. The Department has a variety of pink promotional items including patches, t-shirts, and a challenge coin that will be available to officers and the public with a minimum donation to the TUPD Pink Patch team page: https://support.joeandruzzifoundation.org/team/440593

This year, the Department’s Pink Patch has been redesigned to reflect the new patch design. Several promotional items are available with a donation.

  • For a $15 donation, public and department members can purchase individual pink patches.
  • For a $25 donation, public and department members can purchase a Tufts University Police Department pink patch shirt
  • For a $35 donation, public and department members can purchase individual pink patches and a Tufts University Police Department pink patch shirt.
  • For a $50 donation, Tufts University Police Department personnel will receive a pink patch shirt, a patch, and a uniform shirt.

Last year the Department raised $3578.00 and hopes to meet or beat that number this year!

Thank you to Lieutenant Yee and Officer Colon for their dedicated work on this project!
