On October 8, 2016 at about 1:35 a.m. a Tufts student reported to Tufts Police that he had been assaulted  at the intersection of Boston Ave and College Ave. The victim stated he was walking on College Ave with friends when a vehicle stopped and a passenger asked to use a lighter. Words were exchanged and two males exited the vehicle. One of the males punched the victim in the face. The other male threatened the victim with a baseball bat. The suspect fled the area in the motor vehicle on College Ave toward the Powderhouse Rotary. Tufts Police notified Somerville and Medford police and a search for the vehicle and suspects was conducted. That search was not successful. 
The victim declined medical treatment.
The victim described the suspects as follows:
Suspect 1).  White male, in his early 20’s, short brown hair, 5’11”, medium build, wearing a black North Face jacket, and khaki pants.
Suspect 2).  White male, early 20’s, 5’8”, slim build, medium length brown hair, wearing a green shirt and jeans.
Suspect 1 punched the victim and suspect 2 held the bat.
The vehicle was described as a green van or SUV type vehicle.
