On Wednesday, January 23, at about 1:15 p.m., Tufts University Police received a call from a student victim living in private housing adjacent to campus on Boston Avenue in Medford. The student reported interrupting a burglary of the house that the student lives in, with the suspect inside the house as the victim entered. The victim reported that the suspect fled the house through a rear door, causing damage to the door. A subsequent investigation revealed that the suspect entered the house through a broken window.
The student described the suspect as a black male, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build, wearing a black hoodie, jeans and work boots.
This incident is under investigation by Medford police Department.
