This class is designed for personnel who will be shipping chemicals.
There is separate training offered by TEHS for shipping biological materials.

The two-and-a-half-hour introductory training is required for all staff who package, ship, and transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods. Hazardous materials and/or dangerous goods are articles or substances that are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property or the environment and which are identified in the hazardous materials table, list of dangerous goods, or which are otherwise classified by the IATA/DOT regulations.
