The strategic planning project continues, and at this point it’s necessary to reconsider the timeline. This is an important project, and there’s only one opportunity to get it right. With this in mind, we’re revising the timeline to allow enough opportunity to collect information from as broad an audience as possible. Though we’d hoped to finish information collection over the summer, it’s become clear that we need to survey faculty and staff after the start of the school year if we want to include as many people as possible.

The five bars on the Gantt chart represent the five phases of the project:

  1. Questions & Considerations (January-March) complete
  2. Information Gathering (February-September) partially complete
  3. Decision Making & Planning (August-October)
  4. Review the Plan (October-November)
  5. Plan Implementation (November)

Some upcoming activities in the Information Gathering phase include:

  • Interviews with key administrators
  • Survey of Department of Public & Environmental Safety staff conducted by Office of Institutional Research
  • Survey of all employees (faculty and staff) during September
