The Medford Police Department made an arrest today of a suspect in a robbery which occurred on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 356 Boston Avenue (see original Alert below). The suspect, who is a non-Tufts affiliated, local resident, will be charged with the Armed Robbery and it is anticipated that other charges may be added as the investigation continues and develops information on other area crimes.
SAFETY ALERT – TIMELY WARNING FROM 11/11/13
This evening, November 11, 2013 Medford Police informed Tufts Police that they responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 8:20 PM at the Campus Convenience store located at 356 Boston Avenue in Medford, near the Dunkin’ Donuts. The victim reported that the suspect entered the store, showed a knife and demanded money from the cash register. Then victim handed over cash. The suspect exited the store and got into the back seat of a white SUV. The SUV fled eastbound, toward College Avenue on Boston Avenue. The victim was not physically injured.
The victim described the suspect as follows: a white male with a thin build, 5’11” wearing a Red Sox hat, a black North Face jacket and blue jeans.
