The Tufts Police learned today from the Boston Police of an attempted unarmed robbery that occurred near the Boston-SMFA campus on October 7, 2016 at approximately 7:50pm. The victim, a non Tufts affiliate, reported that 3 male suspects approached him while walking on Pontiac Street and tried to take his backpack. The victim was pushed to the ground but was able to flee without injury and retain his property. A search of the area was conducted by Boston Police with negative results.
The victim described the 3 suspects as black males between the ages of 16 and 20 years old.
While victims of crime are never to blame for criminal activity, there are some precautions that can be taken:
