On Friday, April 3, 2015 at approximately 2:43 am the Tufts University Police received a call of a breaking and entering in progress at a house on Winthrop Street near Capen Street in Medford, Ma. The resident, a Tufts student, awoke to a male standing in the entrance to their bedroom. The male suspect ran from the house on to Winthrop Street and ran parallel to campus down Capen Street toward Hillsdale Street. The suspect did not appear to be armed. No one in the house was physically injured. Entry was gained through an unlocked door.
An area search for the suspect was conducted by Tufts University and Medford Police. The suspect was not located. Tufts University Police are actively investigating this incident and have increased patrols in the area.
The victim described the suspect as:
Light Skinned Male, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” tall, college age, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, light jeans or khakis and sneakers.
