On August 21, 2013 at approximately 2:00 pm the Tufts University Police received information about an attempted sexual assault that occurred during the overnight hours on Boston Avenue.

The victim, a local resident, reported while walking on Boston Ave near Nick’s Pizza at approximately 4:30 am, a male made rude comments to her. A couple minutes later, just after passing College Avenue the suspect approached her from behind and forced her to the ground while attempting to assault her. The victim fought her attacker, broke free and ran to a nearby relative’s house. Later in the morning, the victim reported the incident to the Medford Police. The victim was transported to the hospital and treated for scratches and abrasions.

The victim described the suspect as:

a light skinned Black or Hispanic male, in his mid-twenties, average height and weight with slanted eyes and a dimple in his chin, wearing jeans and a white T-shirt
