Civilian Response to Active Shooter Training

Ever wonder “what should I do if I see someone attacking others with a gun or hear gunfire.” The Tufts University Police Department offers training for civilians that is designed to increase their chances of surviving an active shooter incident. An Active Shooter is defined as an individual actively engaged in attempted mass murder.

Participants will learn:

-Avoid, Deny, and Defend, response options

-Basic concepts of pre-planning and preparation

-Prevention, recognizing threatening behavior, and on campus resources
