The investigation into Monday’s suspicious car fire and bomb threat continues. Agencies cooperating on the investigation include the State Fire Marshal, Somerville Police, Tufts University Police, and the Massachusetts State Police. No arrests have been made at this time. Investigators will continue to analyze evidence.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office has asked anyone with information about Monday’s incidents to call the State Fire Marshal’s Arson Hotline at 1-800-682-9229. The 24-hour Arson Hotline is part of the Arson Watch Reward Program that provides rewards of up to $5,000 for information that helps to solve the crime of arson. It is funded by the property and casualty insurance underwriting companies of Massachusetts.
