Robbery 1/3/2012 – SA12-1-CPB

On Tuesday, January 3rd, at approximately 2:25pm the Tufts University Police received a call for an attempted unarmed robbery on Harvard Street between the M&V complex and the Jaharis Building.

A female victim reported that she was approached by a male and a female and asked for a cigarette. The victim replied, “no” and continued walking. The victim was then tackled from behind by the female suspect, who attempted to take the victim’s purse and cell phone while the male suspect appeared to be standing as lookout. The victim screamed and the suspects fled down Tyler Street toward Kneeland Street.

An area search for the suspects was conducted by Tufts University Police and Boston Police, which proved negative.

The victim described the suspects as follows:

Male suspect – approximately 5’10”, white or Hispanic, late 20s to early 30s, black shirt and jeans

Female suspect – approximately 5’6”, white or Hispanic, late 20s to early 30s, black and red plaid jacket
