Assault & Battery 9/18/2011 – SA11-9CPM

On September 18, 2011 at approximately 2:12 am, a male came into the Police Station to report to Tufts Police he had just been the victim of an assault and battery. The victim stated he was walking on Winthrop Street and a male called from a White SUV “hey are you a Tufts student” the student answered “yes”. A white male got out of the SUV and struck the student in the face. Student was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The male got back into the SUV and it was last seen driving down Winthrop Street into Medford. Tufts Police conducted an area search with negative results. Medford and Somerville police were notified of the incident.

Victim described the suspect as a white male, wearing a white t-shirt with a baseball cap on backwards.
