There are six publicly-accessible Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) on the Medford/Somerville campus. In an emergency, anyone can retrieve the AED to allow a trained individual to use it to treat a victim of sudden cardiac arrest. Opening the cabinet in which the AED is stored will automatically send a signal to summon Emergency Medical Services (EMS), but it’s still a good idea to direct someone to call for help.
AEDs are available in several locations in the Steve Tisch Sports and Fitness Center, in the lobby of the Mayer Campus Center, at Gifford House, and in the entryway of Tufts University Police Department. Refer to the map below.
