Massachusetts 2009 Hurricane Season

With the onset of the 2009 Hurricane Season (June 1 to November 30), Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) will be continually promoting Hurricane Preparedness through weekly news releases highlighting key issues relative to the New England Hurricane Season. Tufts' Public Safety department has prepared some resources for hurricane preparedness:

Are You Ready?

The Flu Happens Every Year

Pandemic flu is predicted to be on the horizon, but seasonal flu remains a serious illness from year to year. Get a flu shot from Tufts University Health Service and prevent illness year round by practicing frequent, proper handwashing.

In Case Of

MAJOR ACCIDENT

Call x66911 and notify the dispatcher of the accident location, the number of casualties and if any campus structures are involved.

Notify your supervisor if the crash scene is close to your building.

Evacuate the building if the smoke from the crash scene moves in your direction.

DO NOT approach. The responding Fire Department has equipment and personnel who are trained for such incidents.
