The Department of Public & Environmental Safety is charged with organizing Crisis Management Teams for all Tufts University campuses. In the event of a weather emergency, significant utility disruption, domestic attack or other crisis situation, the appropriate Crisis Management Team will assemble to mitigate consequence, promote the safety of the community, and provide for "continuity of business" for the university's educational and research missions.

Preparing for Emergencies

Preparation is the responsibility of every member of the community. Individuals should prepare with supplies, a plan to stay in touch, and information about what to do in an emergency, and what's happening during a disaster. Departments should also prepare with their own emergency plans, to address their own particular emergency response needs and to augment the university's Crisis Management Plan.

Get a Kit

At your home and at work, everyone should have supplies on-hand to prepare for a possible emergency situation. Make a Plan
