Radiation Safety Awareness Training

CLICK HERE if you need to complete the Annual Radiation Safety Refresher. The Radiation Safety Awareness training only needs to be completed once.


The 20 minute orientation training is required for all members working in a permitted Radioactive Materials laboratory.  The topics covered include:

  • Review Radiation Safety Program structure and Administrative Controls
  • Be aware of regulatory licenses, registrations, and notices defining employee rights concerning radiation safety.
  • Recognize radiation safety signs and postings identifying areas where radioactive materials or radiation producing machines are stored or used.
  • Review the characteristics of the Radiation Safety Program.
  • Be aware of the services offered by Radiation Safety staff.

There are a total of 2 questions. Make sure to select the best answer in each question. Click Here to download a pdf version of the test.

A passing score of 100% is required. A Certificate of Training will be sent to you if the test was passed.
