Public Safety has upgraded ID cards. The new ID cards that we have upgraded to, have the magnetic stripe on the back plus a chip called iCLASS. This is new technology and is more convenient and more secure than the older cards. There is no cost to the employees or students for these initial cards, however, as of April 1st, 2011, there will be a replacement fee for any lost ID cards of twenty dollars. The Bursar’ office will be collecting this fee and providing documentation of payment.
The ID replacement process is as follows:
1. Go to the Bursar’s office, 200 Harrison Ave., Posner Hall first floor.
2. Pay the $20.00 replacement fee by cash or check. A receipt will be provided with information on it that is needed in order to print a new ID. Employees must have their Employee ID number to provide to the Bursar’s office. If you do not know this number, contact Public Safety or the Human Resources Dept. prior to going to the Bursar’s office.
3. Provide the receipt to Public Safety at 136 Harrison Ave, M&V, first floor.
