The simple way to avoid receiving citations while operating and parking your vehicle at Tufts University is to follow the Parking Regulations. The list below highlights the major points of the Parking Regulations and should in no way be considered all-inclusive.
- Purchase a parking decal for your vehicle BEFORE you begin parking your vehicle on University property or BEFORE your current decal expires.
- Always park within your designated area. Residents need to park in GREEN lots only, commuters parking in RED zones, and Staff/Faculty in BLUE zones. Those parked outside their designated areas will be cited. All vehicles parked in Handicapped Spaces without a state issued placard or temporary handicap placard will be ticketed and/or removed from campus.

- All vehicles obstructing crosswalks, fire hydrants, trash containers, loading zones, the regular flow of traffic, or hindering the response of emergency vehicles will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.
- Winter Parking Regulations are in Effect from November 1 to April 1. When a snowfall of two or more inches is forecast or broadcast, it is the responsibility of the owner/operator to remove motor vehicles from areas marked "NO PARKING 1 AM tohttps://secure.web.tufts.edu/thinwire/pubsafe/adminsvc/index.php?p=simple_page&action=Edit&page_id=59 8 AM". There is also no parking on any University street from 6 PM - 8 AM. Certain lots/locations are open for parking during a declared Snow Emergency.
- Vehicles hindering the removal of snow will be ticketed and towed at the owner/operator's expense.
- There is no parking in Staff/Faculty Zones or Commuter Zones between 1 AM and 8 AM.
- Individuals parking in NO PARKING areas, double parking, on a sidewalk or in a fire lane will receive a citation.
